What is the ACFT?
The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) is the U.S. Army's official physical fitness test. It consists of six different events designed to measure soldiers' physical fitness and combat readiness.

The Six ACFT Events
3-Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL)
Measures lower body and core strength by performing three deadlifts at maximum weight.
Standing Power Throw (SPT)
Tests explosive power by throwing a 10-pound medicine ball backwards over the head.
Hand-Release Push-Ups (HRP)
Assesses upper body endurance through push-ups with a hand-release at the bottom.
Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC)
Evaluates agility, speed, and stamina through a series of 50-meter shuttle runs.
Plank (PLK)
Tests core strength and endurance by maintaining a proper plank position.
2-Mile Run (2MR)
Measures aerobic endurance through a timed two-mile run on a measured course.
Understanding Your Score
High Performance (560+ points)
Exceeds Army physical fitness standards. Outstanding level of combat readiness.
Pass (360-559 points)
Meets Army physical fitness standards. Demonstrates acceptable combat readiness.
Below Standard (Below 360 points)
Does not meet minimum Army physical fitness standards. Further training required.
